For my Photoshop project, I created a visually captivating composition titled "Surf, Film, Repeat." This project showcases my love for the ocean and videography, combining elements of surf culture and Photoshop to convey a theme of passion and repetition. To create this project, I utilized various Photoshop tools and techniques to achieve a clean and professional appearance while conveying a clear message:

• Selection Tools: I employed the Quick Selection Tool and the Pen Tool to precisely select and isolate the surfer from the original image. This allowed me to maintain a clean edge around the subject and remove any distracting elements from the background.

• Layer Masks: To seamlessly blend the surfer into the new background, I used Layer Masks. This technique enabled me to hide or reveal specific areas of the image, ensuring a smooth transition between the subject and the background. I also utilized a separate picture (a simple underwater image) and layered it into the surfing picture. After playing around with the opacity, brightness and color, I compiled the images together to create an underwater effect for the entire image.

• Adjustment Layers: I utilized Adjustment Layers to enhance the overall color and tone of the composition. By adjusting the levels, saturation, and curves, I achieved a visually appealing and balanced color palette that evokes the vibrancy of surf culture.

• Typography: I carefully selected a font that captures the essence of the project's theme. Placing the words "surf, film, repeat" as the central focus, I incorporated appropriate spacing, alignment, and sizing to create a visually pleasing and impactful typographic element. I then used the “Liquify” filter on the text to give the illusion that the text is underwater.

• Blending Modes: To integrate the typography with the overall composition, I experimented with different Blending Modes. By selecting the appropriate mode, I achieved a harmonious blend between the text and the background, ensuring legibility while maintaining the visual aesthetic. 

The creation of the "Surf, Film, Repeat" project allowed me to showcase my mastery of Photoshop skills while conveying a personal theme and message. By combining my passion for the ocean and videography, I aimed to create a visually captivating composition that reflects my love for these elements.Throughout the design process, I focused on achieving a clean and professional appearance. By utilizing precise selection tools and layer masks, I ensured a seamless integration of the surfer into the new background. This attention to detail contributes to the overall quality and realism of the composition. The use of adjustment layers allowed me to enhance the colors and tones, creating a visually appealing and cohesive color palette that evokes the vibrant energy of surf culture.
